The show begins at 9:00 a.m. and there will be some of the finest street cars, race cars, trucks and motorcycles there. Trophies will be awarded at 3:00 p.m. so come out and join us for a good day and a good cause!

Pack 707's Blue and Gold Banquet Held Tonight!

Tonight we were happy to participate in Cub Scout Pack 707's Blue and Gold Banquet in North Charleston. Transportation was the theme of the event and we were asked if we could bring one of our vehicles to show to the kids and the adults in attendance.  We answered the call with "Big Red" and all seemed to enjoy it.  Congratulations to all of the Cub Scouts who moved up to Webelos tonight and thanks for inviting us!

Team Completes Peer Counselor Program!

CFD Peer Counselors Participating in Panel Discussion
This week we completed our second Peer Counselor training program with a group of twenty-three participants. In addition to eight personnel from the CFD, we were honored to have eight other departments send personnel to be a part of the program.  Subjects ranged from communication and listening skills, the peer role in a counseling team, stress, anxiety and depression, suicide, alcohol and substance abuse, issues affecting families and children and many other subjects related to counseling.  We were fortunate to have our entire in-house staff participating along with the majority of our existing peer counselors from the CFD.  Special thanks to Ester Hennessee of the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center and Donny Brock from the Trinity Behavioral Care in Marion County, South Carolina for their presentations.

"Spitfire" is Ready to Roll!

We have working for some months on our motorcycle, "Spitfire", that will be added to the other vehicles on our Team.  It will be used in our public outreach programs such as car shows, charity fundraisers and other interests.

"Spitfire" is a 2004 Suzuki Volusia painted by Stacy Lundy of Stacy's Designs in North Charleston. It mirrors the paint job on the "Never Forget" Camaro and is outfitted with a fire axe, halligan tool, fire extinguisher and other items befitting of a fire department motorcycle.

We would like to thank Stacy for his paint and flame work, Phil Clement, of the St. Andrews Fire Department, for his tuning and mechanical work and David Reindollar, of the North Charleston Frie Department, for his inspiration and support.

"Spitfire" will make its' first planned appearance on March 5th in the Southern Drag Racing Association's "Camp Happy Days" Car Show at the Texas Roadhouse in North Charleston. We invite you all to come out to help us raise money for "Camp Happy Days".
