Twenty-four new recruits have begun their twenty-six week training program to enable them to join the ranks of the CFD. They are currently in Emergency Medical Technician class before beginning their actual firefighter training. The EMT training will keep them busy until the end of the year. We wish them well and look forward to working with them in the coming months!

The next meeting of the CFD Retirees' "Hooked Up" program will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2011, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Pinecrest Baptist Church on Ashley Hall Road, West of the Ashley. A & M Brown's BBQ from Moncks Corner will be serving a holiday dinner followed by a special Christmas program. We invite all of our retirees to attend with a guest.
